Questions?

Q: When you were a kid, what was your dream occupation?
A: I always dreamed of being a veterinarian. Of course, that dream changed once I realized I couldn't stand the sight of blood. So from the ages of 10-19, I wanted to be a journalist. Writing music and playing the guitar were just some of my hobbies, but now they've become my life!

Q: What was your favorite childhood toy?
A: Up until I was about 6, my teddy bear named Teddy and I were inseparable. Now, instead of a bear named Teddy, my husband, Teddy, and I are inseparable. Cute, right?

Q: What artists/bands are your biggest musical influence?
A: I can't pick a certain artist. Every artist I hear influences me in a specific way. Once artist might influence me to write a love song, one might influence me to play my guitar a specific way, and one might influence me to write a completely off-the-wall song. I'm influenced by everything and everyone. Life, in general, is my inspiration.

Q: What type of food could you eat 24/7?
A: CHOCOLATE! Plain-and-simple. Chocolate is my number one type of food. Hot chocolate, a heart-shaped box of chocolate, whatever--I just love me some chocolate!

Q: Who was your first love?
A: Well, my first crush was my next-door neighbor. We lived next-door to one another for 16 years. One summer when we were eight, we got married. The wedding rings were made from licorice..it was sweet. We considered ourselves to be in love..until I ate my licorice ring..our marriage went downhill from there.

Q: What is your favorite city to play in?
A: I love every city we've been in. However, Paris is my absolute favorite. It gives me a chance to speak some French, and the shopping is exquisite! When we play in Paris, you're guaranteed to find me on the Champs-Élysées, when we're not on-stage of course.

Q: What's the most embarrassing thing to happen to you while on stage?
A: Did you know I'm a huge klutz? Honestly, I can hardly walk 10 feet without tripping on something, even if it's just over my own feet. Knowing this, can you imagine me on a stage littered with chords? It's not a pretty site. Granted, I've gotten better.. I hardly even fall anymore.

Q: What do you like to do when you're not performing/writing music?
A: I absolutely love to read! I'm a huge book worm. I've read more books than I can count. When I'm not reading, I also enjoy shopping, going to the beach, and checking out some local bands. Snuggling's not too bad either ;)

Q: Is there anything else you want to tell us?
A: Hm.. let's see. Here are some facts about me. I'm completely random. I absolutely love to ride quads and get dirrrty. My daughter is my life; I love her with all my heart. Teddy Atkins, my fellow band-mate, is my husband. Besides modern rock, I've been known to listen to Country music. You'll find out more some other time!
